The Delivery

Comfort-Dolls are wrapped and delivered individually with a “Birth Certificate” to the child or elderly – as the Social Worker at the institution identify the receivers. Each doll is “signed” by its maker. Each doll tells a story that is meaningful for the receiving person.

The Making Process

  • Supply is bought (Fabric, Printing paper, threads, scissors, bags, etc).
  • Volunteers learn embroidery in weekly get-togethers. They take the project home to continue working until is completed.
  • Dolls’ pattern get cut, sewed, filled, and finished.
  • Dolls get wrapped and delivered with a “Birth Certificate”

Making a difference

  • The process of making the doll is gratifying for its maker.
  • The camaradie during the meetings help each volunteer with their well-being.
  • The recipients and their families benefit from each doll.
  • Each volunteer / donor – makes a difference.

“”The hands that serve are often the hearts that heal—both the giver and the receiver.””
